The Firehouse Art Center promotes and supports working artists through its gift shop. The Firehouse’s gift shop is unique to Norman because it represents high quality fine art and craft pieces with multiple price points, which provide a tangible bond between the Firehouse’s mission and patrons of the arts. The gift shop only displays original art, primarily from artists who make their living from artwork sales. These artists, 90% of which are based in Oklahoma, normally do not participate in the gallery systems, but sell their work at fairs and shops. Through artist and community feedback, the Firehouse has determined that its hours of operation, ideal location for reaching individuals from outside of the arts community through the surrounding city park, and high quality standards for artwork, have led to additional sales and wages for these individuals. The gift shop supports the Firehouse’s commitment to promoting local professional artists.

Interested In selling your artwork in the FAC gift Shop?
Artists who have not exhibited with the Firehouse before must fill out the online application to be considered for addition to the Firehouse's Gift Shop artist roster. Artwork submitted must demonstrate the quality and skill of the intended medium and must be original, handmade, and created by the artist in the last 3 years.
Mediums accepted include ceramics, photography, paintings, original prints, drawings, wood, metal, jewelry, blown glass, slumped glass, stained glass, mixed media and some accessories. The following items will not be accepted: clothing (except for hand-woven pieces and accessories), university themed items, food, and toiletry items.
Applications are reviewed on a revolving basis. Accepted artists will be contacted by Firehouse staff to arrange drop-off of their work.

Firehouse gift certificates can be used for all classes, gallery works, gift shop items, and memberships. They are available in any denomination.
