Opening Night: May 22nd, 5:30-8:30 PM
Experience heroes and villains coming alive at our Limited Edition Opening Reception, Thursday May 22, from 5:30-8:30 PM. See comic books in a whole new light, while enjoying food from Kam’s Kookery and beverages for a one of a kind night!

From the first turn of a page, readers have been captivated by the heroes and villains that come to life in panels covered in action and adventure.  Printed in our memories, the illustrated characters that inspired us are timeless reminders of our shared stories. These carefully collected issues have captured our imagination, becoming our most cherished Limited Edition comics.

On display from May 22nd to August 3rd, Limited Edition celebrates the dynamic history and creative legacy of Oklahoma’s comic artists. Together, the OKPOP Museum and the Norman Firehouse Art Center have collaborated on this exhibition to showcase a selection of comic books, art, and archival materials from OKPOP’s collection, as well as works from contemporary comic artists across Oklahoma. Through this partnership, we aim to share these significant pieces of Oklahoma’s artistic and pop culture history, further enhancing the community’s connection to the stories that have shaped our state. We hope to inspire new generations of creators by sharing the accomplishments of Oklahomans who have impacted the comic book industry. In addition to works from the Archie Goodwin Collection at OKPOP, the exhibition will feature numerous works from Oklahoma comic artists Kevin Stark, Jerry Bennett, and Arigon Starr. Limited Edition invites visitors to experience the culture of comics through the illustrated universes these artists have brought to life.
